Terms and Conditions

By registering for Desi Cultures, you agree to the following:

Registration & Access

  • Your ticket grants access to the Desi Cultures online programme and associated sessions during the event period.

  • Access details for live sessions will be shared via email prior to the programme.

  • Tickets are intended for individual use and may not be shared or transferred.

Recordings & On-Demand Access

  • Select talks and sessions will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing.

  • We aim to provide long-term access to recordings; however, access platforms and formats may evolve over time.

Refunds & Cancellations

  • As this is a digital event with immediate access to programme information and resources, tickets are non-refundable.

  • If a session is cancelled or significantly altered, Desi Cultures reserves the right to provide an alternative session, recording, or equivalent access.

Programme Changes

  • Speakers, timings, and session formats may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • We reserve the right to make updates to the programme when necessary.

Participation & Community Care

Desi Cultures is a shared learning space. We ask all participants to engage respectfully across disciplines, experiences, and perspectives. Harassment, discriminatory behaviour, or disruption may result in removal from sessions without refund.

Intellectual Property

  • Programme content—including talks, presentations, recordings, and shared materials—remains the intellectual property of speakers and organisers unless otherwise stated.

  • Participants may not record, reproduce, redistribute, or commercially share event content without prior permission.

Student Tickets

Student pricing is available with a valid student ID. Desi Cultures reserves the right to request verification.

Technical Issues

Participants are responsible for ensuring stable internet access and device compatibility. While we will do our best to support access, Desi Cultures cannot be held responsible for individual technical difficulties.

Offline Events & Community Gatherings

As part of Desi Cultures, we may share or spotlight offline fermentation gatherings, pop-ups, workshops, or community events organised by independent partners, spaces, or individuals.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these events are not organised or managed by Desi Cultures. We are only helping promote or amplify them as part of the wider fermentation ecosystem. Participation in these events is at your own discretion, and Desi Cultures is not responsible for event operations, safety, cancellations, refunds, accessibility, or participant experiences related to third-party events.

Where relevant, registration, payments, and event-specific terms will be managed directly by the organising party.
